The Blue Workforce  Academy is more than a classroom—it’s a launchpad for emerging professionals to build meaningful careers and lives.

 

At the heart of our program is ROV Technician training, where students gain hands-on experience in underwater robotics and technical systems. This specialized training serves as a gateway to high-demand careers, not only in robotics but across skilled trades, military service, and other professional pathways.

BWA Inspection Class ROV  Curriculum

Our four-part curriculum is designed to equip students with the skills, certifications, and confidence to succeed in high-demand industries. Our program blends hands-on robotics instruction with real-world career preparation and personal development.

Ages: 18+

Duration: 31 Days (Monday-Thursday)

Time: 10:00am to 1:30pm CST

Total Hours: 155 hours

Technical Training
 

  • Delivered in a collaborative, team-based setting that fosters community and peer learning

  • Emphasizes service-oriented applications—students learn how robotics can support disaster response, environmental monitoring, and infrastructure repair

Industry Certifications
 

  • Students earn credentials that open doors to skilled trades, military roles, and technical careers.
  • Students earn vital certifications like RigPass, BOSIET, CA-EBS, and First Aid, making them immediately employable

  • Job placement assistance for entry-level roles in skilled trades, technical fields, and military pathways
  • Connections to employers, internship programs, and industry partners actively hiring

  • Includes soft skills development: communication, teamwork, and emotional intelligence

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 18 years of age 
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and an offshore physical
  • Must be TWIC-eligible, please visit the link below to view information regarding disqualification.
